Analyzing the Trait-map® personality report
A personality profile helps answer questions about a person’s lifestyle and behavior at work. It enables us to navigate challenges more effectively and focus on developing capabilities in the workplace and working environment. For this reason, conducting a Trait-map report is essential for every individual.
Through years of research and refinement, OD-TOOLS (Federal Republic of Germany) developed a personality measurement tool that is not limited by national or regional culture. As a result, the tool has been developed and used in many countries around the world.
Given the complexity and subtlety of personality, we cannot fully understand it through the single layer of the Big Five alone. For this reason, the Trait-map report focuses on a more detailed analysis, based on the five main Big Five factors presented in Part 1. Analyzing Personality Traits.
Certain personality traits are prominently expressed through behavior. In other words, you may use them frequently in your daily work. When these traits are used over a long period, they gradually form your personality.
By providing specific examples, we can better understand the meaning of each personality factor hidden within every individual.

The above are 10/25 factors in the detailed personality analysis in the Trait-map report.
Almost all the scores lean to the left. The most noticeable characteristics are low levels of emotional control, calmness, optimism, confidence, persuasiveness, and liveliness. This indicates that they are not well suited to customer service, consulting, or flexible roles that require quick reactions. Conversely, a structured job would help them perform better.
However, there is one point you may find quite interesting: an optimism score of 1 will make them quite meticulous in logistics, careful preparation, anticipating the worst possible scenarios, and establishing contingency plans. In addition, a health management score of 3 shows that they always throw themselves into completing their goals, which can make them feel pressured at work.

Looking again at these scales, which lean more strongly to the right, we can see that although they do not enjoy socializing, they are willing to help and may even set aside their personal interests. Characteristically introverted, they consistently defend their opinions, pay attention to detail, and have a strong sense of responsibility at work. However, their highly critical nature may make them prone to pointing out others’ mistakes and seeking perfection at work. At the same time, excessive altruism may sometimes cause them to be taken advantage of and suffer disadvantages.
What is the conclusion?
From the report results in the 2 images, you will see that certain personality traits can help people thrive in one situation but become barriers for them in another. This is normal and entirely reasonable. You simply need to understand your personality traits and choose a suitable work environment. Improvement and development of skills will then take place.

When should the Trait-map® report be conducted?
1. When businesses want to understand how suitable an employee or candidate is for an important and influential position.
2. When a business is building a succession team. This is based on the general requirements for the team and the specific requirements of each position. This report serves as an examination of each individual and measures their level of suitability.
3. When a business wants to improve its performance.
To achieve this, the business needs to understand why work performance within the organization has declined or failed to improve. Making appropriate changes and improvements is an effective way to drive performance.
4. Measuring the overall capabilities of the team and conducting periodic personnel assessments to develop suitable training methods. Screening personnel when the business changes its operating strategy or company culture.
